Custode di una storia centenaria, panacea dei mali di questa città, fautrice della fortuna di molti napoletani che vivono oltralpe è la pietanza che ha accompagnato i partenopei dall’età degli Asburgo alla seconda guerra mondiale. Un rapporto viscerale lega i napoletani e la pizza, un rapporto che rivive in quelle che, secondo noi, sono le cinque pizzerie migliori di Napoli.
A due passi dai Tribunali, l’Antica Pizzeria da Michele è un must have per chi non ha mai assaggiato la tradizionale pizza napoletana. Seppure la scelta nel menu sia limitata esclusivamente a pizza margherita, pizza margherita con doppia mozzarella e marinara, la pizza di Michele è un’esplosione di gusto e tradizione che difficilmente assaporerete in altre pizzerie napoletane.
Una pizzeria sita in una stretta viuzza che spunta su Via Santa Teresa degli Scalzi, subito sopra lo storico rione Sanità. Vasta scelta di pizze, ottime le fritture, su tutte sono assolutamente da provare gli “angioletti di Starita”: straccetti di pasta fritta serviti sia dolci che salati, a seconda dei gusti e delle preferenze. Consigliata anche per la vicinanza logistica al rione Sanità, una perla sottovalutata dell’immenso centro storico napoletano.
Una pizzeria situata a pochi passi dalla stazione centrale, è un fiore all’occhiello fra le pizzerie della città: vasta scelta di ingredienti, impasti per le pizze leggeri e fragranti. Assolutamente da provare i crocché ripieni di verdure “a sorpresa” dello chef e le diverse varianti di pizza con stoccafisso.
Pizzeria situata a Mergellina, in Via Vesuvio, con splendida vista sul lungomare e consigliata soprattutto in giornate soleggiate, dopo una lunga passeggiata da via Toledo al mastodontico e fiabesco Castel dell’Ovo. Vasta scelta di pizze, con possibilità di deviare anche su primi e secondi piatti a base di mare.
Altra pizzeria storica della città di Napoli, situata nel cuore dei Decumani a due passi da tutte le maggiori attrazioni del centro storico (il Cristo Velato, il chiostro di Santa Chiara, Pio Monte della Misericordia e Piazza del Gesù). La lunga attesa all’ingresso sarà compensata da una pizza che richiama la tradizione. Assolutamente da non perdere il ripieno fritto di Zia Esterina!
